Cycling Clinic with the City of San Diego Today!
We were out on Mission bay today supporting the City of San Diego, Department of Parks and Recreation, with their adaptive cycling program. The city runs a fantastic cycling program that runs through the summer with fortnightly rides. Rides are open to the public for a small fee, and the city provides all the equipment, and many voulanteers. This week the ride was from Mission Bay park, across from the Belmont roller coaster and Wave house.
The next Handcycle ride will be June 30 2012: 10am handcycling at North Crown Point Shores. For more information check out the Therapeutic Recreation Services website
The city will also be having their annual wheelchair summer camp starting on July 16 2012. Intrepid will be there helping to support the cycling portion of the camp. For more information about the camp visit their website above. Cost to attend is $158.25 for city residents and $166.50 for non-residents. You can register by calling 619-525-8427. There is information about the camp on the City website (above)
